Pasadena Independent School District requested, and was approved, to add three asynchronous “At Home Learning” days for all students to work remotely from home. The learning days that have been added to the Spring 2021 Semester Calendar will provide additional planning time so that teachers can master lesson design for teaching face-to-face and virtual students at the same time.
Please note these three days are not student holidays. Students will work from home and earn credit for the school day and each class. All students are required to log-in to their learning platform, complete assignments from teachers, and continue to make academic progress.
Our first Asynchronous “At Home Learning” day is Monday, February 1, 2021. All students must log-in to their Homeroom Teacher’s Zoom Meeting at 8:10. At that time, attendance will be taken, and instructions will be given for the school day.
The other two district Asynchronous “At Home Learning” Days are:
-
Monday, March 1 &
-
Monday, April 12
Thank you for your continued support and for your willingness to work with us during this challenging time to ensure your student continues to receive a quality education.
If your student must attend school on the District’s Asynchronous “At Home Learning” Days, please call the Counseling Center at 713-740-0460 to discuss arrangements.

If you would like to change your child to virtual learning, please call the school. Please remember changing their learning format is a 6 weeks commitment.

Parents of remote learners will be notified of an absence in a remote setting within 48 hours to allow for posting of assignments by the 11:59 deadline. As always, if you receive an automated notification and you have questions, please contact the campus at 713-740-0460. In addition, after three days of unexcused absences, based on Texas truancy laws, a truancy warning letter will be mailed to the home address and emailed to the parent.
Dear Parents/Guardians,
Our priority is to keep students safe during their time at school. As a result, Park View Intermediate will once again implement the A.L.I.C.E. safety procedure. The campus staff has been trained to initiate A.L.I.C.E. (Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, and Evacuate) if an intruder enters our building. The A.L.I.C.E. protocol is an option based strategy relying on situational awareness. Students will soon watch a short video at school followed by a teacher-led discussion using frequently asked questions as a guide. At least 2 more A.L.I.C.E. activities will follow throughout the year. Please visit our website at www.pasadenaisd.org and click on the Keeping Pasadena ISD Safe tab to access the introductory video and additional information. If you have any specific questions, please feel free to call Park View Intermediate at 713-740-0460. We are happy to answer any questions you have about the A.L.I.C.E. protocol.
Estimados padres/tutores:
